Synchronising your bands
Why is synchronizing important?
The app must "synchronize" with both of your bands. This gets the movement data from your bands, uploads it as part of the study, and ensures your bands are configured correctly (e.g. know the current date and time).
The bands have a limited memory, so it is important to keep them synchronized otherwise you risk losing some data. You should aim to open the TwoCan app daily.
How to synchronize your bands
Syncing of your band's data is attempted whenever you open the TwoCan app.
If you need to, you can manually start a synchronize with the "Synchronize" option under the '⋮' menu in the top-right corner of the app.
Troubleshooting synchronization issues
If one or both bands has not synchronized recently, try the following:
Retry the synchronize process with the "Synchronize" option under the '⋮' menu in the top-right corner of the app.
Check your bands are near to your phone.
Check your phone's "Bluetooth" radio is turned on.
Check that your phone is not in a "Battery Saver" (or another "Power Save") mode, if it is, please leave this mode (in the pull-down quick settings, or sometimes by just recharging your device).
Check your bands have battery, otherwise recharge.
Check none of the app's permissions have been denied.
Check the devices are paired with your phone.
Fully power-off and power-on your phone.
Restart the band(s): Connect to power so you can switch it to standby, disconnect it, reconnect it to power so it exits standby, disconnect to use.
If none of the above helps, please contact us.
